Hampshire Closure Information

The teach-out continues with 156 students returning to campus this fall - 140 aiming to graduate and 16 planning to transfer to other institutions. This is a significantly higher percentage than the average of 18% for graduating students at a closing school .

A small, yet committed group of about 50 staff and faculty members remain at the College to support students and carry the institution through its final teach-out. These employees have made the difficult decision to stay through the end. They continue to teach, advise, support, counsel, maintain campus operations, provide essential student services to help our students successfully graduate, complete this final semester, and determine what comes next. These employees do not have future employment secured and are still not guaranteed a severance at the end of their tenure in December.
